Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Doodle Couple mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Doodle Couple is a mobile application that allows couples to:

  • Create and share drawings and doodles with each other
  • Respond to relationship questions through artwork
  • Connect with a partner to share content privately
  • Access premium questions and features through subscription
  • Save and export their doodles

Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the App
  • You must be at least 18 years old to make purchases or subscribe to premium features
  • You represent that all information you provide is accurate and complete
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account

Account Registration

Creating an Account

  • You must provide a valid email address and create a secure password
  • You may choose a display name for your profile
  • You are responsible for all activities under your account

Account Security

  • Keep your login credentials confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
  • We are not liable for losses due to unauthorized account use

Acceptable Use

Permitted Uses

  • Create drawings and doodles for personal sharing with your partner
  • Use the App's features as intended for couples' communication
  • Save your own doodles to your device's photo library
  • Share appropriate, non-offensive content

Prohibited Uses

You may not:

  • Upload, create, or share content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
  • Impersonate others or provide false information
  • Use the App for commercial purposes without permission
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Reverse engineer, modify, or create derivative works of the App
  • Use automated systems (bots, scripts) to access the App
  • Share content that violates intellectual property rights
  • Engage in any activity that could harm minors

Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content

  • You retain ownership of drawings and content you create
  • You grant us a license to store, display, and process your content to provide the App's services
  • You are solely responsible for the content you create and share
  • We may remove content that violates these Terms

Our Content

  • The App, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by us
  • Question prompts and app content are protected by intellectual property laws
  • You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without permission

Copyright Infringement

  • We respect intellectual property rights
  • Report suspected copyright infringement to [email protected]
  • We will respond to valid DMCA takedown notices

Premium Subscriptions

Subscription Plans

  • Premium features are available through weekly or annual subscriptions
  • Subscription prices are displayed in the App and may vary by region
  • Payment will be charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account

Billing and Renewals

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
  • Manage subscriptions through your device's app store settings

Cancellation

  • Cancel anytime through your device's subscription settings
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • No refunds for partial subscription periods

Free Trials

  • Free trial periods, if offered, will be forfeited upon purchasing a subscription
  • Cancel during the trial period to avoid charges

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the App, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

Partner Connections

Connecting with Partners

  • You may connect your account with one partner
  • Both parties must consent to the connection
  • Either party may disconnect at any time
  • Shared content remains visible to both parties unless individually deleted

Shared Content

  • Content shared with your partner is private between you two
  • We do not monitor or moderate private content between connected partners
  • You are responsible for appropriate sharing with your partner

Disclaimers and Limitations

App Availability

  • We strive for continuous availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service
  • The App may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues
  • We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features

Content Accuracy

  • Question prompts and suggestions are for entertainment purposes
  • We make no warranties about the accuracy or suitability of content
  • Use the App at your own discretion for relationship activities

Technical Issues

  • We are not liable for data loss, technical malfunctions, or device compatibility issues
  • Maintain backups of important content
  • Report technical issues through in-app support

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM
  • WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
  • WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR DATA LOSS, PRIVACY BREACHES BY THIRD PARTIES, OR RELATIONSHIP ISSUES ARISING FROM APP USE
  • SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATION OF LIABILITY, SO THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including attorney fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the App
  • Content you create or share
  • Violation of these Terms
  • Violation of any third-party rights

Termination

By You

  • Delete your account through the App settings
  • Uninstall the App from your device
  • Contact support for assistance with account deletion

By Us

We may terminate or suspend your access if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in prohibited activities
  • Pose a security risk to other users
  • Use the App in ways that could cause harm or liability

Effect of Termination

  • Your right to use the App ceases immediately
  • We may delete your account data
  • Subscription charges will continue until properly canceled
  • Survival clauses remain in effect

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. We will:

  • Post updated Terms in the App
  • Update the "Last Updated" date
  • Notify you of material changes through the App or email
  • Your continued use constitutes acceptance of updated Terms

App Store Terms

Apple App Store

  • These Terms are between you and us, not Apple
  • Apple has no responsibility for the App or these Terms
  • In case of conflict between these Terms and App Store terms, App Store terms prevail regarding App Store-related issues

Google Play Store

  • These Terms are between you and us, not Google
  • Google has no responsibility for the App or these Terms
  • In case of conflict between these Terms and Play Store terms, Play Store terms prevail regarding Play Store-related issues

Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by United Kingdom law, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution Process

  2. Mediation: If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through mediation
  3. Arbitration: Remaining disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration
